Keeping production on schedule is key in roll forming operations. Strengthen your skills and know-how with a comprehensive industry update at FMA’s World-Class Roll Forming Workshop April 17-18, 2013, Indianapolis, Ind.

Designed with smaller workshop sessions for more interaction, World Class features roll forming experts who are committed to answering your questions, providing solutions to your problems, and giving insights that will help you improve your operation.

Choose nine of twelve time-relevant workshops on topics such as specialty materials used in roll forming and troubleshooting, or new 2013 sessions that cover safety and cost justification that will elevate beginners on necessary core skills and provide current updates for the more experienced roll former.

 

Please note that this workshop is for continuous strip steel roll forming operations, not plate rolling.

 

Networking with the Experts Reception  – Wednesday, 5-8 p.m.

The collective knowledge of the presenting experts is invaluable and you can take full advantage of their experience as you spend an evening with them at a special three hour ‘Networking with the Experts Reception”. You can bring your parts, drawings, and challenges to get the analysis and solutions you need to implement in your organization in a relaxing atmosphere while getting to know them, plus have time to connect with fellow attendees.

 

Plant Tour – Nucor Crawfordsville – Thursday, 6:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Nucor Crawfordsville is the site of the world’s first commercial compact strip plant (CSP), built in 1989, as well as the world’s first commercial Castrip® twin-roll strip casting facility or Castrip® process. Installed in 2002, this unique technology is ideally suited for light-gauge hot rolled sheet production. As the first continuous thin-slab cast flat-rolled steel making facility in the world, the Crawfordsville, Indiana mill puts its extra experience into everything it makes. This tour will include Castrip®. Therefore, aconfidentiality agreement will need to be signed prior to the tour.
